Gastronomy & Wine

Food plays an important role in Montenegrin culture. We offer experiences that allow you to discover local flavours in an authentic and welcoming setting.

These may include: home-style meals in family-run households, tastings of local cheeses, olive oil, and traditional dishes, visits to wineries producing indigenous grape varieties, cooking experiences inspired by regional traditions.

Each gastronomic experience is adapted to your interests and dietary preferences.

Immerse yourself in the historic atmosphere of a 17th-century monastery. During the visit, you will explore the monastery’s interiors, including the library, chapel, and the traditional courtyard typical of Franciscan monasteries.

Together with a local woman, you will prepare a traditional lunch using authentic recipes and local ingredients. After the cooking experience, you will enjoy the meal in the historic Captains’ Hall, completing a unique cultural and culinary journey.

***The monastery is also available for special private events — from intimate dinners to private celebrations and exclusive gatherings in a unique historic atmosphere.

Olive Farms
Olive Farms

Along the coast, including areas near Bar, Uljcinj and the Luštica Peninsula, we arrange visits to olive farms where olive oil is still produced in a traditional way. Some of the olive trees here are not just centuries old, but up to two thousand years old, and they continue to bear fruit every year. Olive growing is not only agriculture — it is part of everyday life and coastal culture.

Wineries
Wineries

We organize authentic visits to family-run wineries across Montenegro for those who would like to discover local grape varieties and understand how wine is produced by the same families from one generation to the next. In the central region, especially around Lake Skadar, you can taste indigenous wines and meet the people who grow, harvest, and bottle them with care and experience passed down over decades.

Traditional Cheese and Prosciutto Makers

In the mountains, we organize visits to small producers of prosciutto and cheese, where you can see how local food traditions are preserved in family smokehouses and dairies.
